Love Apple Farms is now offering a temporary CSA while Manresa Restaurant is closed. Some of you for years have been asking for a CSA, but as you know, all of our carefully and lovingly grown produce goes to chef David Kinch.
This is an opportunity to partake in vegetables that have been fine-tuned with varieties specifically chosen for their flavor, grown on a biodynamic certified farm. The program begins immediately, but we aren't yet sure how long it will last. The end date will depend on when the restaurant is scheduled to reopen. Until then, our staff will harvest your basket fresh every week for pickup on Wednesdays. You can purchase a four-week membership for $45 per week. The short-term membership allows us to ensure that you won't miss out on anything if the restaurant reopens sooner than anticipated.
The produce included with your membership will change with the seasons. We are growing: Sun Jewel and Charentais melons, 60 varieties of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, onions, tomatillos, beans, squash, mizuna, chrysanthemum greens, radishes, beets, turnips, arugula, basil, carrots, cucumbers, ground cherries, kale, leeks, sorrel, celeriac, sunchokes, and more. Not all items can be in every box, so expect to be surprised. Absolutely no GMOs, synthetic chemicals, or harm to the environment or your soul.
You can pick up your harvest outside of our retail shop at the farm stand. The stand will have additional items you may puchase individually--you need not be a CSA member to take advantage of the farm stand. Our produce stand at the farm, located at 2317 Vine Hill Road, Santa Cruz, will be open from 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays and Sundays (and Wednesdays noon to 6 for pick up)

This sturdy wooden box is reminiscent of old-fashioned produce crates and is made of Santa Cruz Mountain redwood by a skilled carpenter and has a UV resistant, colorful Love Apple Farms metal plate attached. You may keep the box, or return it each week to carry your produce home.
To further support the farm, consider attending our annual events: HOW-Days Garden Skills and Kitchen Skills on Sunday, July 13 and August 24.
