Directions to the farm (but not the plant sale) from Santa Cruz County and Monterey County:
Take Highway 1 to Highway 17 north (toward Los Gatos/San Jose). You'll pass through Scotts Valley and pass the Santa's Village Road exit. The next sign after that is Crescent Drive. Do NOT take Crescent Drive! Soon after Crescent is a small sign for Vine Hill Road. The next spot to exit the highway is a good quarter of a mile past the Vine Hill Road sign. It's an unmarked road that seems to be almost a driveway heading up away from 17 on the right. Take that funky exit road and go up to the stop sign (which is another quarter of a mile). Turn right at the stop sign (that right turn actually gets you on to Vine Hill Road). After that right turn, our driveway is marked with a "Love Apple Farms sign" (only about 50 feet on the left). Go down the long driveway to the very bottom. Please park ABOVE the lawn area, NOT next to the houses. Remember, this paragraph is for those who are arriving driving northbound (toward Los Gatos from Santa Cruz) on Highway 17.
Directions to the farm (but not the plant sale) from Santa Clara County/San Francisco/Central Valley:
Take Highway 17 south toward Santa Cruz. Vine Hill Road is a left turn lane exit off of Highway 17. It's several miles past Summit Road and the next exit past Sugarloaf Road. You won't be quite in Scotts Valley yet. There is also a large yellow sign on the left of the highway at the Vine Hill exit that says "St. Clare's Retreat - 3 miles." You won't be going 3 miles, you'll only be going a few hundred feet. Once you turn left off of Highway 17 onto the exit, go up (curving right, away from the iron gates on your left) about two hundred feet to the next intersection, and turn left onto Vine Hill Road (there is another small sign at this intersection that points you left to St. Clare's Retreat).
Once you've actually made the turn onto Vine Hill Road, our driveway is immediately on the left and marked with a "Love Apple Farms" sign. Go down down the long driveway to the very bottom. Please park ABOVE the lawn area, NOT next to the houses.
Our kitchen classroom is located next to the fountain as you arrive to the lawn area.
The terraced farm and gardening classroom is located at the very end of the driveway, past the grassy area.
Cynthia Sandberg's office is located in the brightly-painted red building with white trim at the bottom of the driveway.
Directions to the Tomato Plant Sale:
Take the Scotts Valley exit off of Highway 17. If you are coming north, you will be looping back over the highway after you exit to arrive at Scotts Valley Drive. If you are traveling southbound, you will reach Scotts Valley Drive immediately after you exit. Once you reach the light at Scotts Valley Drive, turn left. Go down about half a mile and look for our a-frame Love Apple Farm sign at the corner of Ivy's Porch garden located at 5311 Scotts Valley Drive.
