Our chickens were laying a low number of eggs this past fall (seven eggs daily from 70+ hens!). We switched their food and increased the amount of green leafy veggies and their production has improved significantly. We get so many eggs now, the chef is happy, and we have enough left to sell a few dozen a week to our loyal local customers.

What did you switch their food too? Our chickens are not laying much now, they are only 2 years old...we're lucky if we get 1 egg/day from the 4 of them. Well...actually, we've recently decided that one of them is a rooster due to the now-regular cock-a-doodling we have every morning. Could this be affecting the girls' laying? Also, I'm sure you've had this question before, but would you have any interest in taking this fellow over?
